Butterflies Nanny Agency is based in Bishops Stortford and is run by myself Lisa Halford.
I decided to set up my own nanny agency after currently being a nanny for the past 5 years working for two families. I have had all sorts of experience such as a nursery nurse, mothers help, baby sitting and also house sitting while families have been away, so i know the needs and requirements for both the family and the nanny.

My aim is to ensure that both the nanny and family match each others requirements and will liase with both throughout the process answering any queries or discuss any concerns.

What is a Nanny?

A Nanny is mainly responsible for the care of the children of the family and for any household duties that has directly to do with them. This will include childrens washing, ironing and preparing healthy and balanced meals. A Nanny can be either live in or live out. A live out nanny will leave your home at the end of the day where as a live in nanny will have their own room in your home. This all depends on preference of the family.

What is a Nanny share?

A Nanny may be employed by two families at the same time. The practical arrangements are negotiated between the two families and the Nanny.

"What is a mothers help?"

A mothers help is usually a candidate who is less experienced than a Nanny. They will work alongside the parent, gaining further experience whilst gradually taking some sole charge.
